About me
I am an independent consultant specializing in vehicle emissions testing, PEMS applications, emissions legislation and data analytics. With more than 16 years of experience in the automotive industry, I support manufacturers, suppliers, research organizations and government authorities in the planning, execution and evaluation of emissions measurement projects.
My expertise covers light-duty, heavy-duty and NRMM applications, ranging from test preparation and measurement support to data evaluation, reporting and regulatory interpretation. Having worked on more than 100 customer projects worldwide, I combine practical engineering experience with a deep understanding of emissions legislation and data processing.
Professional Background
My career began in 2006 at AVL List GmbH in Graz, Austria, where I started as an Application Engineer in the field of engine testbed automation. After gaining several years of experience, I joined the PEMS (Portable Emissions Measurement System) department and became part of the M.O.V.E team.
Over the following years, I was responsible for the complete AVL PEMS system and worked closely with customers around the world. My responsibilities evolved from Application Engineer to Business Development Manager and ultimately Product Manager for the AVL Concerto M.O.V.E Data Toolbox (MDT), one of the industry’s leading post-processing solutions for emissions measurement data.
Through these roles, I gained extensive experience in emissions measurement technologies, legislative requirements, data evaluation workflows and customer-specific project support.
Independent Consulting
In 2022, I decided to establish my own consulting company, data & lor.E, with the goal of providing independent, flexible and highly specialized support in the fields of emissions measurement, data analytics and regulatory compliance.
Today, I help clients transform complex measurement data into meaningful insights, support them during critical testing activities and provide practical guidance for regulatory and technical challenges.

The name data & lor.E combines my surname, Lorinser, with the idea of transforming emissions data into valuable insights and knowledge. The goal is simple: turning data into understanding and supporting clients with practical, experience-based solutions.
